T5 aquarium lights have become quite popular, just as the LED crave has been recently. When running with an electronic ballast, which all of our T5 HO lights use, T5s are more energy efficient, longer lasting and cooler running than other types of aquarium lights in comparison. Because our lamps made thin, they penetrate the water much better than thicker compact fluorescent and other fluorescent types of bulbs. T5s are a great choice for tanks that are 20 inches and deeper where that extra light is needed to reach corals below. The XL Series consist of Finnex's four bulb T5 fixtures that are built in with blue spotlight LEDs. The XL series have an aluminum hood with corrosion resistant powder coated finishes, polished aluminum reflectors, moisture resistant UV filtration lens, and adjustable fixture leg stands. They also incorporate an electronic ballast and independent power control switches per pairs of bulbs. The LED control switch is incorporated into one of the switches. Penetrating T5 Bulbs Included with the light fixture are two pairs of 10,000k daylight and Actinic bulbs. Great for all your reefing needs. Pairs of bulbs are controlled with their very own independent switch. When lights are turned off and out, sets of Blue LED bulbs can be kicked on to give your aquarium a moon spot light effect.
